On this page you can book a legal consultation with a DEVOSO lawyer at a time that suits you. We advise electricity market participants: generators, traders, suppliers, industrial consumers, storage operators and aggregators. As a result, the lawyer prepares in advance and gets straight to the point.
How to book a legal consultation
First, choose the format. Then select a date and a convenient time. Next, describe your task briefly: for example, a NEURC inspection, a settlement dispute or an AMCU request. After that, we will contact you during business hours to confirm the slot and agree the consultation fee.
Consultation formats
- Video call — Zoom, Google Meet or Teams; we send the link once the slot is confirmed.
- Phone call — the lawyer calls you at the chosen time.
- In-person meeting — by prior arrangement.
When it makes sense to book a legal consultation
Booking works well when the issue is important but not urgent today. For instance, you are planning an energy asset deal, reviewing PPAs or preparing for an inspection. If, however, a deadline expires today or tomorrow, do not wait for a free slot. Call +380 77 172 27 45 or message that number on Telegram, Viber or WhatsApp.
Why deadlines matter
Procedural time limits are set, among others, by the Commercial Procedure Code of Ukraine. A missed deadline can limit your options. So it is better to book early than to look for grounds to restore a missed term later.
What to prepare once you book a legal consultation
Good preparation makes the conversation more productive. Therefore, gather a few things in advance.
- a short timeline of events in a few sentences;
- the contract the issue arises from;
- the letter, claim, inspection report or tax assessment notice;
- correspondence with the counterparty or the authority;
- a list of the questions you want answered.
If documents are needed, we will ask you to send them beforehand to office@devoso.info. That way the lawyer can study them before the call.
Common reasons clients book
- a NEURC or State Energy Supervision inspection and objections to the report;
- disputes over imbalances or unpaid electricity;
- feed-in tariff settlements;
- AMCU clearance for buying an energy asset;
- a tax audit or blocked VAT invoices;
- protecting a supplier’s or trader’s brand;
- a monthly legal retainer for the company.
Foreign investors also come to us to understand Ukrainian market rules before a deal. For them, we hold consultations in English.
What you get from the consultation
During the consultation, the lawyer assesses the risks and possible scenarios. In addition, they propose an action plan and explain which documents are still needed. If you need further support, you receive an offer with the scope and the fee. That said, we never promise a guaranteed outcome; we give you an honest view of your prospects.
Confidentiality
Everything you share during the consultation stays between you and the lawyer. In other words, the information is used only to work on your matter.
