Before you write
Answers to the questions we hear most often.
How much does a consultation cost?
It depends on scope and complexity. We name the fee after the first call and fix it in the contract before work starts — no surprise extras.
Can we work online without visiting the office?
Yes. Most clients work with us remotely: documents by email or the client area, meetings in Zoom, Google Meet or Telegram, signing with a qualified e-signature.
When do you reply?
On business days during working hours. Messages sent in the evening or at the weekend are handled on the next business day. If a deadline is close, say so in the first sentence.
Is my request confidential?
Yes. Everything you tell a lawyer is protected by attorney–client privilege. We sign an NDA on request before any documents change hands.
Which documents should I send first?
Whatever you received from the authority or counterparty (letter, report, order, claim) and the contract involved. The lawyer will ask for the rest after the first call.
Telegram channel
Legal news for business — no noise
- Case law
- Tax
- New legislation
- Regulator decisions
When you need to contact a lawyer in Ukraine quickly, choose whichever channel suits you best. DEVOSO works with electricity market participants: generators, traders, suppliers, industrial consumers, storage operators and aggregators. Therefore, the first conversation goes straight to the substance of your market issue.
The fastest ways to contact a lawyer in Ukraine
- Phone: +380 77 172 27 45 — for urgent matters when a deadline expires today or tomorrow.
- Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp: the same number — handy for sending a photo of a document or a short summary.
- Email: office@devoso.info — for letters with attachments and detailed requests.
- Booking: the consultation booking page, if you want to choose a date and time in advance.
In addition, follow our Telegram channel. There we explain market changes and new Regulator decisions in brief.
What to prepare for the first call
Good preparation saves your time. So before you call, it helps to gather a few things.
A short timeline
Describe the events in three to five sentences: what happened, when, and who is making the demand. For example, “we received a NEURC inspection report and have ten days to object.” A summary like this shows the lawyer your priority at once.
Key documents
- the contract the issue arises from;
- the letter, claim, inspection report or tax assessment notice;
- correspondence with the counterparty or the authority;
- your licence or other permits, if the issue is regulatory.
The outcome you want
State what you are trying to achieve. For instance, overturning a fine, settling an imbalance dispute amicably or obtaining AMCU clearance before closing. The lawyer can then propose a realistic plan.
When it is best to get in touch
Ideally, before you reply to a demand or sign a document. After all, you have more options at an early stage. Even if a deadline is close, call anyway, because there may still be steps to take.
How a foreign company can contact a lawyer in Ukraine
If your company is registered abroad, the channels are exactly the same. You can call, send a message or write an email. We also work with foreign investors, so the conversation can take place in English. Moreover, the lawyer will explain how Ukrainian power market rules apply to your structure. For example, which deals need AMCU clearance and which changes require action on a licence.
What you can clarify in the first call
- whether there are grounds to appeal and which deadlines apply;
- which documents you still need to collect;
- which lawyer will run the matter;
- which engagement format suits you and what it costs.
That said, a first call does not replace a full review of the documents. So if the situation is complex, the lawyer will suggest a detailed consultation or a fixed-scope project.
Confidentiality when you contact a lawyer in Ukraine
We use what you tell us only to work on your matter. Personal data is processed under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”. Consequently, you can share documents with confidence, and you may ask the lawyer for a secure channel if needed.
What happens next
First, the lawyer clarifies the details and assesses urgency. Then you receive an action plan and a fee quote before any work begins. You can read about engagement formats on our pricing page. In other words, to contact a lawyer in Ukraine at DEVOSO, one call, message or email is enough.
