An energy law consultation helps you understand how serious the situation is, what your options are and what further work would cost. A detailed consultation with a document review is paid, and we quote the fee in advance.
What an energy law consultation gives you
- An initial risk assessment. The lawyer identifies the key legal issues and likely consequences.
- Options. You learn what steps are open to you now and what to avoid.
- A budget guide. If you need ongoing support, we outline the scope and propose a fixed or phased fee.
- Answers to your questions — with no obligation to continue.
Typical reasons to book
Market participants usually come to us after receiving a NEURC or tax audit report, a claim from a system operator or an AMCU request. A consultation also helps before an energy asset deal, a PPA signing or a licence change. Moreover, foreign investors use it to get to grips with Ukrainian rules.
How to prepare
Pin down your main question and the outcome you want. For example, overturning a fine, settling an imbalance dispute amicably or obtaining AMCU clearance by a set date. Also prepare a short timeline of events.
Documents to bring
- the contract at the heart of the issue, including any contract with a system operator;
- correspondence with the counterparty, NEURC, the AMCU or the tax authority;
- any audit report, resolution, tax assessment or request you have received;
- reconciliation statements and metering data for settlement disputes;
- court documents if proceedings have started.
Copies or scans are enough. Everything you share is kept confidential.
